There’s something charming and quaint about laying a blanket and taking in a sunset while savouring delicious food from a traditional wicker basket, surrounded by good conversation with the people you love.
Here at Prairie Creative, we’re bringing you back to that simpler time – an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life by inviting you to enjoy a unique adventure in luxury and style with Manitoba’s beautiful natural settings and star-filled prairie sky as the backdrop.
We are a small, boutique event planning service that specializes in creating thoughtfully curated, picnic-style, luxury dining experiences customized for any occasion. From the plush cushions, rugs and throws, stunningly designed tablescapes featuring splashes of colour and a treasure-trove of decorative accents --- to the magical glow from an assortment of candles and lanterns --- from beginning to end, your time with us is sure to be relaxed and memorable. Oh and there’s the food. Comparable to a high-end restaurant, our charcuterie boards, cakes and other menu items are sourced from fresh, local ingredients. And as a matter of fact, we’ve partnered with some of the finest caterers, bakeries, florists and venues in and around Winnipeg to come together to bring you an authentic experience that really is second to none. All you have to do is show up at your predetermined time and location, and we take care of all of the details --- including the cleanup, so you don’t have to!

How It Works
Choose Your Location
Imagine an intimate picnic curated for you in your own backyard, at your favourite park or on a sandy beach. Prairie Creative is available for private in-home, outdoor and on-location small group picnics in the Rural Municipality of Springfield, City of Winnipeg and surrounding communities, and even offers their small acreage property for that picturesque, open country setting perfect for your celebration! And, during the colder months, we will take your picnic indoors ... to your living room, enclosed porch, cabin, Airbnb, hotel room, event space rental & party venue.
Create Your Package
You've already decided on a location for your picnic. Now it's time to start the design process to create your picnic. Take some time to browse through our pre-designed luxury picnic packages, themes and colour palettes, as well as our many add-on options. From gourmet charcuterie boards, to sweet treats, to games and balloon garland (we even have a picnic package for your pooch), we've got you covered! Don't see what you are looking for? We'd be happy to provide you with a custom quote, too. *Note that a guest count over 6 is considered an "event", and custom pricing takes effect.*
Schedule Your Picnic
We appreciate your interest in our luxury picnic service. To schedule a chic yet fun, intimate picnic gathering for you and your guests, please contact us today by filling out the initial inquiry form. An info package will be emailed to you. Availability is limited; book early to avoid disappointment. We would be honoured to help you plan your special date night, double date, birthday, retirement, anniversary, marriage proposal, sunrise breakfast, girls’ night, baby shower, bridal shower, wedding rehearsal party, holiday party, grad, family reunion or corporate event through a joyful experience you can forever cherish.
Enjoy Your Picnic
We've secured your booking, and on the day of your event, your luxury picnic will be set up for you upon your arrival to your destination. Simply enjoy your picnic with your special someone, family, friends! We will return to pack and clean everything up for you at the end of your experience. Do take lots of pictures and tag us on social media.
